Dr. David Mandel, a New York City native, received his undergraduate degree from Penn State University. Upon completion of his undergraduate studies, he decided to pursue a career in dentistry. He returned to New York to attend New York University School of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1996. After receiving his D.D.S. degree, he completed a General Practice Residency program at Jamaica Hospital in Queens, NY. He went on to complete a 1 year Oral Surgery Internship at West Virginia University. Following that, he remained at WVU to attend a 4 year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, which he completed in 2002 . Dr. Mandel obtained his Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 2004, and has since remained a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Dr Mandel currently serves on the West Virginia Board of Dentistry, sub committee on anesthesia.
